“Montelismos” store was founded in 1988 by Kyros Ziagas. Kyros Ziagas has been a model maker since he was a child. He was born in Ioannina and grew up in Athens. In 1988, he returned to his hometown and decided to realize his childhood dream of opening a model shop. Thus, his hobby became his job, ensuring his knowledge and love of the subject for his customers. “Montelismos” took on the style of a hobby shop that its owner wanted to create. It is a privately owned 150 m² space in the city center (10 Grigoris Sakkas Street) with a warm atmosphere, comfortable space, and a fully equipped workshop for model making. It offers a wide variety of products for static and remote-controlled models, as well as everything a model maker needs (materials, paints, tools, model-making books and magazines, etc.). It is a fact that “Montelismos” is one of the best stores in all of Greece. Among our hundreds of customers are: -University of Ioannina, University of Patras, Prefectural Administration of Ioannina, VIII Infantry Division, Naval Museum of Crete, Cultural Center of Ioannina, IPMS Corfu Branch. Since 1992, the store has been home to the “Ioannina Modelers Association,” the local modeling club.
