Active Nature is one of the largest companies specializing in alternative forms of tourism (extreme sports) in Greece, based in Ioannina, Epirus, and operating in the Zagorochoria and Tzoumerka regions of Ioannina. We also have changing room facilities in these areas to better serve our customers.

Active Nature was founded in mid-2008 by Christos Nikolaou, a national canoe-kayak champion and member of the Greek National Team from 1997 to the present.

His love for sports and nature found common ground in alternative tourism activities.

The company’s goal is to bring young people closer to nature and sports, as well as to showcase the region’s unique natural beauty to visitors to Epirus.

The company has developed outdoor adventure trails (Rafting, Canyoning, Horseback Riding, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, climbing, hydrospeed, archery, mountain biking, and cycling), giving many visitors to the region the opportunity to experience the natural beauty of Epirus.

With the company’s two modern 17-seat minibuses, we will transport you to the activities in comfort and safety.

Both the founder of Active Nature and the rest of the company’s staff are experienced and certified guides in the sports they lead, and they are also very knowledgeable about the Epirus region due to their local roots.
