We practice nomadic beekeeping. We move our hives to different areas throughout the year. It’s a never-ending journey…
Our small business is located in the Zagori region of Epirus, in the village of Asprangeli. This is where our workshops and one of our apiaries are located.
We transport our bees primarily within Epirus. The region’s rugged and diverse terrain, which creates a multitude of small ecosystems and microclimates, yields a wide variety of exceptional honeys.
Who We Are
Third-Generation Beekeepers
From the cliffs surrounding the Kokoros Bridge in the Zagorochoria region, our grandfather Panagiotis—who is 100 years old today—collected a wild bee colony. It was a common practice back then.
This event shaped his love for bees, which remains a daily part of his life to this day. From the rock to the hive and then to his backyard. Observation, reading, research, knowledge, and experience—all at a time when access to information was not easy.
This is what our grandfather passed on to us, but above all, his love and respect for nature and this marvelous creature, the bee.
We, now the third generation, have carried on our grandfather’s craft, transforming it into a livelihood—in other words, making it our entire life. Because this is the reality of beekeepers: the bees are their life.
We experience all the emotions, the seasons, the changes in the weather, the difficulties, the joys, and the sorrows that come with it. We grow alongside them in the spring, we travel throughout the year, we breathe in the scents of the flowers, we taste their nectar, we work alongside them—and we, too, become bees.
We offer all this adventure, love, and the taste of nature captured in the jars of honey we produce and all the other products from the hive. We are small-scale producers committed to quality.
